He was dying for Covid, but once he got out of the hospital, he continued to deny the existence of the pandemic. For Thomas Seitz, an AfD deputy, it was not enough to narrowly escape death due to Covid. As soon as he left the hospital, he thanked the doctors “from the bottom of his heart”, and once again denied the pandemic with public statements.
In fact, he writes on Facebook: “I am internally divided, because, on the one hand, I am grateful for the second chance at life” but on the other hand I believe that “in 2020 the federal government has given up 90% of the resources necessary for the future of our children. The restrictions imposed on the virus were useless, inadequate and counterproductive ”he reiterated. And he added: “I have never denied the existence of the Sars-CoV-2 virus or the danger of Covid-19 disease. However, I continue to be of the opinion that so far there has been no pandemic ”.
The deputy had become seriously ill a few days after his photo, in which in the courtroom he wore a perforated orange mask, had gone around the world. On that occasion, the vice president Claudia Roth (Verdi) had asked him to go out, or to wear the FFP2 protection she was giving him, under penalty of a fine. Seitz, a 53-year-old politician, complained about the “muzzle” and proudly pointed out that it was a long time since he had a mask on his mouth and nose, implicitly meaning that many members of his party are not used to wearing it.
