German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke rudely about Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the UN Security Council. He said that the Russian leader allegedly has a plan to conquer Ukraine.
“The reason why suffering continues in Ukraine and around the world is stunningly simple: the Russian president wants to carry out his imperialist plan to conquer a sovereign neighbor – Ukraine,” Scholz said, as quoted by the German news agency The world. The German Chancellor called on Putin to withdraw the military at the request of the UN General Assembly.
Russia has repeatedly stated its readiness for negotiations. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting of the UN Security Council that the Russian Federation does not refuse negotiations on Ukraine, if the United States wanted this, they would give the command to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to cancel the decree banning dialogue with Moscow, reports RT. “We hear slogans: ‘invasion’, ‘aggression’. Not a word about the root causes,” Lavrov noted. According to him, the West did not listen to Russia and deceived for many years, reports “National News Service”.
