The German pair overcame a challenging draw, including a win against the top-seeded ‍Swiss ⁣duo, to claim the ⁤men’s doubles title,⁣ marking a meaningful milestone for the rising DBV (German⁤ Badminton Association)⁢ players.

The path to the final⁢ proved demanding. In a high-quality⁢ match, the Germans‍ prevailed 26-24, 21-23, 21-15, establishing a foundation for their ‍eventual success.

“I think we had one‌ of the most difficult draws that you could have had at the⁣ tournament and we could still prevail. And we have the feeling that we have made a clear step forward,” Sonnenschein stated following the victory.

The duo continued their strong performance, securing two straight-set victories to ‍reach ‌the final. There, they faced the Dutch pairing of Noah Haase and Joep Strooper in ‌a competitive match, ⁢ultimately winning 21-14, 22-20.

This victory is particularly notable for the newly formed partnership, wich ⁢solidified its lineup at the FZ Forza Future Series Nouvelle-Aquitaine 2025. The triumph serves as ⁣confirmation of their strong form⁤ and ⁣represents another step forward in their development.
