George W. Bush is a proud grandfather again. The 75-year-old president and his wife Laura Bush celebrated the arrival of their newborn granddaughter Cora Georgia Coyne with a cute photo just days after their daughter Barbara Bush gave birth, reports “People”.
“Laura and I are pleased to announce the birth of our granddaughter,” the US president wrote on the photo on social media. “Barbara gave birth to Cora Georgia Coyne on September 27, 2021 in Maine, not far from our family home where Barbara and Craig got married. Cora is healthy and charming and we are proud and grateful,” Bush added.
The 39-year-old presidential daughter Barbara married Craig Coyne in October 2018 at the Bush complex in Kennebunkport in Maine in a short ceremony with only 20 guests – relatives and friends of the family.
Her cousin Wendy Wars Stapleton told the publication that they chose the name Cora Coyne because Barbara “likes alliteration” and the middle name Georgia is because of her father George.
