Geneva – Under the sign “Free the detainees!”, Dozens of Algerians gathered on Sunday in the Place des Nations, in front of the UN headquarters, in Geneva to denounce the arbitrary arrests in their country and the repression of demonstrations of the “Hirak”.
Some of these activists want to deliver a letter to the UN on Monday. This, prepared over the 103 km that twelve people traveled in eight days from the region of Chambéry to Geneva, was read on Sunday by one of them, detained for two weeks for having demonstrated in her country.
