“We still have a little work to do, including discussing the issue with our presidential candidate today, but we still can’t lift the curtain,” said Democratic Bulgaria co-chair Gen. Atanas Atanasov in the studio of the show “Since the day” on BNT. He pointed out that the candidate must have a strict civic profile and be the antithesis of the current president, be a citizen who knows the structure of the state well and radiate justice.
Gen. Atanasov also pointed out that it is very important to make efforts for the next parliament to be working in order to carry out judicial reform, as well as to form a regularly functioning government. He also announced that “Democratic Bulgaria” is planning talks before the elections with Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, because many of their goals are covered. Among the most important, he pointed out the reduction and fight against corruption.
“It is important to look for a concentration of like-minded political forces in the future parliament, and not to look at who is left or right,” he added. Atanasov told her that the meetings with voters prove the great support for “Democratic Bulgaria”, which encourages the coalition to continue on the current path and to be a solid factor in politics.
