In recent days, some 50 VRT colleagues have been told they can no longer work for the public broadcaster. One of them is Genena Lisa Peeters. “I am leaving VRT after 22 years and am moved by the many reactions,” she wrote in a statement. “I am thankful for many wonderful years, I have many stories of opportunities, beautiful friendships and crazy adventures. Today VRT is a company in change and that goes hand in hand with people who go and others who arrive.”
