Gazprom pumps gas according to contracts

The Russian concern does not consider the current prices of $ 1000 per thousand cubic meters “stable”.

High gas prices have already begun to negatively affect demand. The downward trend in gas imports by Europe is a general market trend. This was announced on Monday, November 29, by the head of the financial and economic department of Russian Gazprom, Alexander Ivannikov, at a teleconference for investors. Interfax.

He noted that the concern does not consider current prices at $ 1000 per thousand cubic meters “stable”, and they have already begun to influence demand.

“But the quotes of the forwards do not imply a significant decline in the coming months,” Ivannikov added.

In turn, Andrei Zotov, Deputy Head of the Gazprom Export Department, assured that at present “applications for long-term contracts are at the maximum level – they are being fulfilled in full.”

“Gazprom does not allow any violations of contracts. The decrease in bids in some sectors is explained by the high level of prices. But in 2022, despite the expected high level of prices, we do not expect a sharp decline in volumes,” Zotov said.

Recall Gazprom cannot name the time of commissioning into operation of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. They do not know when the certification of the “pipe” will be completed.
