Gazprom hopes for a cold winter

A cold winter is a good winter for Gazprom, the company said. This year’s export is the second in history.
Russian Gazprom expects that this winter will be cold, and therefore good for the company, reports RIA Novosti Wednesday, October 6th.
“Good winter, cold. It will be a good winter for Gazprom,” Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom, voiced such expectations.
According to Gazprom, in the first nine months of this year, gas supplies to non-CIS countries increased by 15.3%, to 145.8 billion cubic meters of gas, which is the second indicator in history after 2018 (149.2 billion cubic meters).
According to Gazprom estimates, at the beginning of the heating season gas deficit in Europe will be 28% or 18.5 billion cubic meters.
Note that today during the auction gas price reached $ 1936, but then dropped to $ 1,770 per thousand cubic meters.
The European Commission believes that gas prices will be high throughout the winter, and a decline is expected from spring.
