Gatot Nurmantyo is very surprised that the police are still targeting US members who come to the house to make arrests like the others. The police took action to arrest Ahmad Yani a few days ago.

“Last night, the executive committee dr. Yani, at around 19.30 in Kramat Raya, was attended by approximately 20 people, who would be arrested, “said Gatot in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event on TV One Wednesday (21/10/2020).
When about to be arrested, Yani refused police steps to arrest him. Ahmad Yani explained that he had not done anything wrong. Even though at that time, the police officer explained that he had a warrant for his arrest.
Ahmad Yani even asked the police about his mistake until he had to be arrested.

Gatot also revealed another condition in which many US members had been arrested and had followed the arrest order through a letter brought by the officer. There were several members who complied when they were arrested by the authorities because they did not really understand legal issues.
“They are people whose legal problems do not really understand the details. But they are good citizens, “said Gatot.
Previously, Gatot himself expressed his support for the decision to ratify the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Law.
Even according to Gatot, when he was still the TNI Commander, he revealed that the President was bothered to increase investment, because in our country it is like a jungle of laws.

This means, he said, the overlap has doubted investors’ intention to invest in the country.

“Well, I know the Omnibus Law has a very noble purpose. Because the investment will come, the wheels of the economy will rotate, there are lots of taxes, so that people’s food and clothing can be (fulfilled), “said Gatot.
In addition, Gatot admitted that the pressure on the government was very high.
Because every year we add three million new workforce.
One million of them are college graduates. So, it will be a burden for the government to prepare jobs.
“So, that’s why there must be new investment. From this accumulation, breakthroughs must be made, this is the problem facing the president, “said Gatot.
