Gaspol for Wild Racing Jockeys After Street Race Inaugurated in Ancol

Polda Metro Jaya officially held a motorcycle race named street race for hundreds of participants. The activity, which was initiated by Polda Metro Jaya, was held in Ancol, North Jakarta.

The plan, this street race will be held continuously in a number of areas. Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said street race was the answer to the problem of illegal racing in the Greater Jakarta area.

“It should be underlined that this activity is not ceremonial, this activity will be sustainable. Next month the plan is in Serpong, please pray in Bekasi, Cikarang it can start soon. If we move together I think we can solve this problem,” said Fadil Imran at a press conference at the location street race, Ancol, Sunday (16/1/2022).

Fadil said that the illegal racing community is large in DKI Jakarta. Therefore, Fadil said this is a good start to accommodate illegal racers.

“Hopefully this will be a good start. We will channelize the illegal races that have been fighting on the highways in DKI Jakarta. The community and ecosystem of this 2-wheeler are quite large, Jakarta alone is like this, what about other places,” he said.

Fadil has also asked his staff in buffer areas, such as Bekasi and South Tangerang, to accommodate the planned street race in those areas.

“I’ve asked Kasatlantas Bekasi, South Tangerang. Later we will accommodate the canalization of these younger siblings in a buffer zone. Later I will ask each Polres to look for their respective areas,” he explained.

Fadil Imran had a chance to directly inspect the tent of the Ancol street race racer. He was accompanied by Pangdam Jaya Major General Untung and Chairman of IMI Bambang Soesatyo. Fadil Imran, called this event a means to attract talented racers.
