Gasoline prices are attacking 40 crowns. Where else do you refuel cheaply? OVERVIEW by regions

Fuel prices are still rising rapidly. Over the last few weeks, a liter of petrol and diesel has risen in price by three crowns at some petrol stations. According to the economist, prices are rapidly heading for 40 crowns per liter. See where you are currently refueling in your area.

Gasoline currently costs an average of over 36 crowns. “In the last week, it has risen by 65 pennies per liter and is the most expensive since October 2014,” commented economist Lukáš Kovanda on the situation around fuels. “Drivers now pay an average of 85 pennies more for diesel than a week ago, namely 34.92 crowns per liter,” he added.

The sharp rise in prices will continue, next week, according to the economist, petrol will rise in price by about 50 pennies and diesel by about 65 pennies. “In winter, gasoline prices in the Czech Republic cannot be ruled out up to around 40 crowns per liter, diesel could be comparably expensive, or only a few dozen pennies cheaper,” Kovanda warns.

The rise in fuel prices is due to higher oil prices. This is due to several factors ranging from the growing demand for fuels to the pandemic, the current energy crisis or the preference for renewable energy sources, and the decline of fossil fuels. “The price of petrol and diesel will rise sharply next week in other nearby countries as well,” warns the economist.

Drivers will not be able to avoid rising petrol and diesel prices. It is already relatively difficult to refuel for less than 35 crowns per liter. The TN.cz editorial staff has prepared an overview of places where you are currently refueling relatively cheaply in the individual regions of the Czech Republic. The information comes from databases mbenzin.cz a ceskybenzin.cz and the dates are up to five days old.
