During the auction on December 31, the price of gas in Europe for the first time since November 10 fell below $ 800 per thousand cubic meters. According to ICE, at the time of the February futures quotation on the TTF hub in the Netherlands, it was dropping to $ 796 per thousand cubic meters.
Since the beginning of trading on the exchange, quotations of gas futures have dropped by more than 22%. Compared to the historical maximum, which was reached on December 21, the cost of gas has decreased by almost three times.
