Garmin has officially launched another smart watch. The Fenix 7 Pro and Epix Pro (Gen 2) series are coming, which combine some of the same functions and a bit of appearance, but there are also significant differences. They complement earlier standard models.

Watch series Epix Pro for example, the second generation are equipped with an AMOLED display, which has a better image, but does not work as well when reading data on a bright day. They are available in three different sizes: 42mm, 47mm and 51mm. The 42mm and 47mm versions cost $900 (approx 20,000 CZK), while the 51mm model costs $100 more (ie approx 22,200 CZK). For the same amount, you can also buy a 42mm and 47mm version with a sapphire display. The Epix Pro model with a 51 mm sapphire display costs $1,100 (approx 24,500 CZK).
So it’s definitely not a cheap watch and it’s intended for serious active enthusiasts who spend a lot of time in sports activities and appreciate the abundance of statistics and related functions. The Epix Pro series also includes a built-in flashlight for nighttime expeditions. The watch has a battery life of up to 10 days in smartwatch mode.
Advice Fenix 7 Pro instead of an AMOLED display, it has a transflective panel that keeps the watch running much longer and is almost perfectly readable in any ambient brightness. Garmin claims this model lasts up to 22 days in smartwatch mode and up to 37 days, which is helped by solar charging. It also has an LED flashlight. Prices for Fenix 7 Pro series watches start at $800 (approx 17,800 CZK) and ends with a 51mm sapphire display model for $1,000 (roughly 24,500 CZK).
