Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo denied City Solo became a black zone after 25 resident doctors on duty at Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Solo, tested positive for corona virus (Covid-19).

“(Solo) The red zone,” Ganjar said as quoted from a direct interview with CNN TV, Tuesday (7/14).

Ganjar explained that every week the Central Java Provincial Government had a meeting to discuss the development of overcoming corona virus. He said there were no reports of Solo becoming a black zone.

It is known, 25 doctors in Solo were infected with the corona virus. Allegedly after attending the graduation party held by the young doctors.

Regarding this matter, Ganjar denied that there were doctors who held a party and were attended by many people. According to him, this can happen because people have different understandings about the adaptation of new habits (new normal).

About 25 doctors who were positively infected by the corona virus, Ganjar said they were currently being isolated.

It is known, 25 resident doctors who served in RSUD Dr. Moewardi, Solo, Central Java tested positive for Covid-19. They are students of the pulmonary specialist education program (PPDS) of the Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University (UNS).

Deputy Director of Research and Education at UNS Hospital Solo, Dr. Tonang Dwi Ardyanto, said the 25 people were medical personnel as well as pulmonary PPDS students or often called lung resident doctors.

The case began with a resident doctor who was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Thursday (9/7). After that, tracing or tracking is done.

“Currently the UNS Hospital receives a referral of 25 positive patients from Covid-19 from Dr. Moewardi Hospital to undergo a period of isolation at the UNS Hospital,” Saturday (11/7).
