Governor of Central Java Pranowo reward and the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka do a cycling stunt or Bicycling happily from Solo to Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java.
This second ride is part of the Tour De Borobudur 2021 series, which is the largest annual bicycle event in Central Java.
The two PDIP cadres were observed to start with 150 participants at the Vastenburg Fort, Solo, on Saturday (6/11) at 06.00 WIB. Before starting the start, Ganjar had time to give a message to the participants to stay and always maintain the health protocol until the finish.
“I ask for the process to be maintained, you know. Until finish finished, must proceed,” said Ganjar.
In the 21st De Borobudur Tour, participants will miss a number of attractions such as the Sewu Temple Courtyard, Tempel Agribusiness, Prambanan Temple, Borobudur Temple and Pawon Temple.
“The route is very beautiful, even though the challenges are tough. We will go through the rural route. I’m just nervous about this,” said Ganjar.
Previously, the Tour De Borobudur event was delayed due to the high number of Covid-19 cases until an Emergency PPKM was implemented in Central Java. However, now that the Covid case has decreased and the Government has allowed events and tourism with progress, Tour De Borobudur is running again.
“You know the conditions last month. The Covid-19 was high until the implementation of the Emergency PPKM, we couldn’t do anything. But as soon as it started to decline steadily, then we started another event that brought the concept of sport tourism this”, said the Chairman of the Tour De Borobudur Committee, Hendra Darmanto.
In the implementation, Hendra inevitably had to carry out strict procedures so that the event did not become a cluster. Some of them are providing mandatory vaccine requirements and antigen testing 2 days before the implementation to participants.
“According to Pak Ganjar’s instructions, we have strict procedures. Our participants provide the mandatory requirements for vaccines and antigen tests two days before the start. Fortunately, these conditions can be accepted by all participants”, explained Hendra.
The 120-kilometer Solo-Borobudur route run by Ganjar and Gibran is the first session of the Tour De Borobudur 2021. In the second session which will take place on Sunday (7/1), the start route will be taken at Borobudur to Nepal Van Java in Temanggung which followed by 100 participants.
“Tomorrow morning, we will continue straight to series 2. There are 100 participants who will compete quickly from Borobudur to Nepal Van Java. The route taken is a rural and mountainous route that offers views of natural beauty. The start will start from Borobudur Temple to Nepal Van Java,” explained Hendra.
It is known that Ganjar has so far occupied the top or second position in a number of presidential candidate surveys. However, PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri has not yet issued an official decision regarding the presidential candidate to be promoted.
Several volunteer groups that during the 2019 presidential election supported Jokowi, who is the father of Gibran, began to shift their support to Ganjar. For example, Joman.
