The team at Green Games Group has shared a gameplay trailer for a large-scale modification of Metro 2033: Legacy. In the video, the protagonist wanders the contaminated surface for a whole six minutes, shooting monsters and solving puzzles.
At the same time modders shared updated information on the progress of development, which began in 2020. As it turned out, in early 2022, Legacy switched to the Metro 2033 Redux engine, which forced the team to transfer all progress to the new version. At the moment the game is technically 60% completed.
The plot of the mod is kept secret. Even at the time of the announcement, the developers reported that its events take place after the events of Metro: Last Light and run parallel to the novel “Metro 2034”, and the main character will be a recruit Hansa enlisted in the Order. At the same time, we were promised a “mini-open world”, many side quests and meetings with already familiar characters from books and games.
