Galician elections: Betanzos reflects once again the results of the regional elections | Radio Coruña

Betanzos, former capital of the Kingdom of Galicia, usually reflects quite accurately the same data as the whole of the Autonomous Community. A casuistry that is repeated election after election and that former president Manuel Fraga already took into account on his election nights. The PP has won there with 49% of the votes (10 points above the Galician average), followed by BNG (23%) and the PSOE with 19%. Galicia in Common is barely close to 4%. These last three games have practically the same result as the whole of Galicia.

In Now The PP has also won with 51.7% of the votes, followed by the BNG with 21%, PSdeG 15.5% and Galicia en Comun with 5.3%. In Sada he governs Benito Portela, of Sadamaioría, the only representative in Galicia of the power of the breakaway left, along with that of A Pobra (of Nós Pobra), although Portela refuses to be a political reference: “May Sada improve, we are not referents of anything, we have much to do working to improve Sada and that is our roadmap. “

Between Betanzos and Sada is Bergondo, also with the victory of the Popular (55%) followed by BNG (20%) and PSdeG (16%)

In Abegondo resounding victory for the PP with almost 60% of the votes, followed by BNG with 19.7% and PSdeG 13.3%.

The PP exceeds 40 percent of the votes in the entire area and the BNG clearly stands as the second force

In the A Coruña area, the voting percentage of the Popular Party does not drop below 41 percent in any case.. It ranges from 41.11 in Culleredo to 50.01 of Potters. In the highest range, already in rural areas, it exceeds 60, with 63 percent specifically in Oza Cesuras. The BNG is placed as the second force in all municipalities with a percentage of votes situated above 20 percent and ahead of the PSOE. There is only one exception, the city council of Cerceda, which maintains the socialists as a second force.

In Arteixo the PP is the leading force with 47.25 percent of the votes. It is followed by the BNG with 25.60, with a percentage rise of 17.19, just the percentage of votes of the Socialists. In Potters the PP reaches 50.01 percent and the BNG stands at 23. The Socialists get 15 percent of the vote.

In Culleredo, with a socialist mayor, the PP reaches 41 percent of the votes and the BNG to 26.60 percent. The PSOE, which counts as number three on its list with the councilor of this municipality Martín Seco, remains in 21 percent of the votes. Both in Arteixo and in Oleiros and Culleredo Galicia in common it touches, but does not reach, five percent.

PP is also the first force in Cambre, with 43 percent of the votes, the BNG obtained 27 percent of the votes and the PSOE 18. Galicia in common exceeds five percent in this council.

The increases or decreases in terms of numbers of votes and percentages do not allow a definitive diagnosis because the incorporation of the census of absent residents is missing.
