Galicia, already in a new normal

Next Monday, June 15, lto most of Spain will be in Phase 3. Thus, Galicia will end the de-escalation this Monday.

According to the draft, in the “new normal” the current restrictions on mobility disappear and will continue to be mandatory use of mask when the interpersonal safety distance cannot be maintained, which goes from 2 to 1.5 meters.

No Phase 3 and jump to a new normal

For its part, Madrid’s community and the sanitary areas of Barcelona and Lleida, will stay one more week in the Phase 2. Like the provinces of Segovia, Ávila, Soria and Salamanca due to its proximity to the capital, one of the main outbreaks of the coronavirus pandemic in Spain.

For its part, Madrid has announced this Friday that the regional government will ask to advance on Monday, June 22 to the Phase 3 on June 22. In this way, as of Monday, June 15, 34 million Spaniards, 75% of the population will be in Phase 3 de-escalation, where the autonomous communities regain full powers over their territory, while Galicia has already announced that it will give way to the “new normal. The Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, has indicated that there are a total of 10 million citizens living together in a territorial unit that will progress to Phase 3 on Monday.


Refering to mobility in the areas that go through the phase, Simón has detailed that in Castilla la Mancha the territorial unity of the province is maintained, so there will be no traffic between them and the same happens in Castile and Leon.

For their part, all areas of Catalonia that are in Phase 3 will make up a single territorial unit and there will be mobility between them and the Valencian Community will also be a single territorial unit for mobility.

In Extremadura there will be no mobility restriction between the two provinces as of Monday.
