British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he would be “absolutely amazed” if Russian President Vladimir Putin attends the G20 summit in Indonesia, calling him a “rogue”. At the same time, he asked his G20 partners not to boycott the summit if Putin did come there.

“I think he is unlikely to go for various reasons,” Johnson told reporters on a flight to the NATO summit in Madrid on Tuesday.
He also warned that any Western boycott in the event of Putin’s visit would simply leave the floor to Russia and China.
“If you leave something like the G-20, you run the risk of simply handing over the opportunity for propaganda to others,” he said.
