Fuss in Room about ‘corona group’ FvD leader Baudet and ignore rules

This wine tasting prompted D66 MP Paternotte in this evening’s debate to express his resentment about Forum employees and MPs who walk around without masks and come too close to Chamber staff. He made an urgent appeal to the party to adhere to the corona rules.

“If you don’t have any symptoms, you can still spread it,” said a visibly exasperated Paternotte.

Snot nose

Baudet and Van Haga do not think they are endangering the staff of the House of Representatives, because FvD’ers have to stay at home when they are sick. Baudet, he says, did not walk around the Chamber with a snot nose, cough or elevation.

Van Haga says it is not the intention to ignore the one-and-a-half meter rule. “We don’t wear masks, but otherwise we stick to them.” He also apologizes for his party leader’s pat on the shoulder of D66 Member of Parliament Paternotte. According to Van Haga, the pat on the back had happened in a “friendly moment”. “I can imagine that Mr. Paternotte finds it inappropriate.”

The leadership of the House of Representatives will soon have a meeting with the board of the Forum for Democracy about the complaints received.
