A number of angry Manchester United supporters visited the home of vice-president Ed Woodward in Cheshire on Tuesday evening, which was attacked with torches and graffiti, among other things. The club management of the Red Devils has uttered his disgust and business manager Mino Raiola, who sometimes expresses himself to be negative about Manchester United, is stunned by the whole incident.
“What happened last night is really not normal,” Raiola suggested in a response The Athletic. “This is pure vandalism and I deal with all forms of violence. These are really idiots, it’s just criminal behavior. They need to be locked up and re-educated. This just doesn’t belong to football. It’s sport, SPORT. is not a matter of life and death at all, it is EN-TER-TAIN-MENT. ”
In the past, Raiola has not always expressed a positive attitude towards Woodward’s working method, but according to the agent the person responsible for purchasing policy deserves full support. “I am completely on his side,” Raiola emphasizes again. “That this happens exactly in a country like England, where people are known for their class, compassion and education … This should not happen to this man. Have we gone completely crazy? Playing football is not so important in life. ”

“No one has the right to destroy a house and threaten a family. What would have happened if the children were at home? Have we gone completely crazy? Is this England we are talking about?” Asks the indignant Raiola. out loud. The agent will casually point out the misuse of social media. “Do not hide behind social media and do not say that you had to do this from someone else. There is no room for violence inside the stadium, but there is no room outside it either. It is unacceptable.”
Manchester United responded with a powerful statement to the events surrounding Woodward’s home, which by the way was not at home with his family. “The club has been informed of incidents around the house of one of our employees. We know that the football world is behind us in the search for the perpetrators of this unjustified attack, in which we collaborate intensively with the police. Anyone found guilty of breaking the law or being involved in this matter will be banned for life by Manchester United and can expect prosecution. ”
