Medina Baye (Kaolack), August 4 (APS) – Medina Baye spokesperson Cheikh Mahi Cissé called on the faithful to respect the barrier measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease, on the occasion of the funeral of General Khalif of Medina Baye scheduled for Thursday.
“I invite the faithful from all over the world who are in the process of rallying the holy city of Medina Baye for the funeral of our late Caliph, Sheikh Ahmad Tidiane Niass, to respect the barrier measures enacted by the health and administrative authorities”, a- he told the press.
Cheikh Ahmad Tidiane Ibrahima Niass, fourth caliph general of Cheikh Ibrahim Niass aka Baye Niass, died Sunday evening in Dakar, at the age of 88 from a short illness.
The spokesperson for Medina Baye returned to the life and work of the late Caliph Cheikh Ahmad Tidiane Niass who, according to him, was “an ambassador of Islam, a fervent disciple of Sheikh Al Islam.”
“His love for the Prophet Mahomed (PSL) and Sheikh Ahmed Tidiane Chérif [fondateur de la confrérie des tidianes], its namesake, is indisputable. He was a servant of God, a social man that the Islamic Ummah, particularly that of Medina Baye Niass, will never forget “, he underlined.
Also, he warmly wished the new Caliph General of Medina Baye Niass, Sheikh Mahi Niass, longevity and total success in his new mission.
