FSB has delayed preparing for the attack in St. Petersburg on New Year

MOSCOW, Dec 29 – RIA News. FSB on Friday detained two Russian citizens who intended to carry out terrorist attacks in crowded places in St. Petersburg on New Year’s Eve.–

Information about the preparation of the crime was provided by US intelligence.

The IC opened a criminal case under the articles “Preparing for the commission of a crime”, “Terrorism” and “Participation in the activities of terrorist organizations”.

Earlier Vladimir Putin thanked the american president on the phone Donald Trump for helping prevent a terrorist attack. World leaders agreed to continue cooperation in the fight against terrorism.–

In 2017, US intelligence agencies also warned their Russian colleagues about the impending terrorist attack in the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg, as well as in other crowded places of the city.
