Argentina held to a 1-1 draw by Paraguay of World Cup qualification 2022. But there is something interesting, namely Lionel Messi. He was made helpless by the Paraguay players so he couldn’t score a goal.
The Argentina vs Paraguay duel was held at the La Bombanera Stadium, Friday (11/13/2020) morning WIB. The goals scored in this match all came in the first half.
Argentina fell behind first after Paraguay opened the scoring with a penalty in the 21st minute. Albiceleste just replied late in the first minute through a header from Nicolas Gonzalez.
Lionel Messi scored in the second half. But his goal was disallowed by VAR because there was a foul before the goal was scored.
This result makes Argentina still firmly at the top of the standings with seven points, one point difference from Brazil below, who will compete tomorrow (14/11) morning WIB. Meanwhile, Paraguay is in fourth position with one point.
