From Wednesday 18 November Abruzzo will also become “red zone”

The president of the Abruzzo region, Marco Marsilio, has signed an ordinance that starting from Wednesday 18 November will include Abruzzo in the so-called “red zones” decided by the national government to contain the coronavirus pandemic. The “red zones” are those where the risk of contagion is considered highest, and where the restrictions on movement are more severe. The new restrictions in Abruzzo will remain in effect at least until 3 December.

To date, several Italian regions are part of the red zone: Calabria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta, Tuscany, Campania and South Tyrol. In the next few hours, Marsilio’s provision will be certified with a special order by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza.

In the red areas they apply all the rules of the yellow and orange zones but any movement into and out of the municipalities of residence or domicile is also prohibited. In a nutshell, it is forbidden to leave the house except for proven work needs or situations of necessity or for health reasons. The return to one’s home, home or residence and the movements strictly necessary to ensure the conduct of teaching in presence are allowed within the limits in which it is permitted.

All catering services are suspended and only home delivery is allowed and catering with takeaway is allowed until 10pm. Unlike scenario 3 (orange zones), retail commercial activities are suspended, except for the sale of food and basic necessities, including in shopping centers, which remain open only to allow access to these activities . The markets remain closed, regardless of the type of activity carried out, except for activities aimed at the sale of foodstuffs only. Newsstands, tobacconists, pharmacies, parapharmacies and some activities related to personal services, including hairdressers, barbers and laundries, remain open.

All group sports activities are suspended, including those carried out in outdoor sports centers, but it is allowed to carry out motor activities near your home, respecting the physical distance and with the obligation of a mask. On the other hand, individual sports activities are allowed, but outdoors.
