Today, Tuesday, the Kuwaiti General Administration of Civil Aviation issued a circular to all foreign travelers coming from the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Syria, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Georgia and Lebanon, by conducting a medical examination (PCR-Certificate), confirming that they are free of the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) before entering the country.
The department said in a statement: “Generalizing all travelers coming from the ten countries mentioned, conducting a medical examination (_PCR certificate), which confirms that they are free of the emerging corona virus, before they enter the country.”
It stipulated that the examination be issued from health centers approved by the embassy of Kuwait.
She added, “In the absence of a Kuwaiti embassy in the countries concerned, the certificate must be approved by the health authorities within their country.”
And she confirmed that the procedure will start from March 8th, stressing that “if the traveler does not carry the approved certificate of not carrying the virus, he will not be able to enter the country, and return to the same airlines that carry it, without the state bearing any material costs, and the company will be fined for that.” .
And she continued: “This circular is excluded from the Kuwaiti citizens, in order to conduct an examination inside Kuwait International Airport, by the Kuwaiti authorities.”
