According to its own statements, Flixtrain guarantees a fixed seat for every guest on the journey. “. In addition, the travel times on many routes are at ICE level,” the company wrote in a statement.

The journey time from Duisburg to Hamburg is just over three hours, and it takes about 4 hours and 20 minutes to get to Berlin from the Ruhr area.

Flixtrain with 3G rule on board

By the summer, Flixmobility wants to serve a total of 70 destinations in Germany with its trains. As expected, the load on the trains increased before Christmas, but overall it was well below the level before Covid-19.

In order to implement the hygiene measures, check-in is currently only contactless. As in all other public transport, there is a mask requirement (FFP2 or surgical mask). The 3G rule will also be implemented and compliance will be randomly checked, as is the case with other transport providers. According to the company, the Corona rules have so far been willingly followed by almost all travelers.
