The ink of the brochure of what could become a sales stunner for Maserati is not yet dry when AutoWeek can already report what the Maserati Grecale should cost. The brand new SUV has a starting price of just over a ton.

€100,694. That is the minimum price you pay for the Maserati Grecale† For just over a ton you can call yourself the proud owner of the Grecale GT, the variant with 300 hp and 340 Nm strong mild-hybrid 2.0 four-cylinder that is tied to an eight-speed automatic. The 2.0 helps the SUV reach a speed of 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. The top speed of the Grecale with this basic engine is a very decent 240 km/h. Maserati asks at least €143,000 for big brother Levante. For that amount you immediately get a 3.0 V6 that produces 350 hp and 500 Nm, a machine that of course partly determines the price.
A step above the Grecale GT is the Grecale Modena, which costs a minimum of €111,790. This variant also has a mild-hybrid 2.0 under the hood, although in this case it delivers 330 hp and 450 Nm. With a 0-100 sprint time of 5.3 seconds, it is also a bit faster than the Grecale GT. You will notice more of this on the sprint from standstill to 200 km/h. Where the Grecale GT with 300 hp takes 23.7 seconds, the Grecale Modena takes you to 200 km/h in 21.9 seconds.
V6
Maserati connoisseurs will undoubtedly get goosebumps when they hear the name ‘Trofeo’. The Grecale also gets a sporty Trofeo variant. It does not have a V8 like the Trofeo version of the larger Levante, but in the Grecale Trofeo you will certainly not be disappointed. In the nose of the Grecale Trofeo is a biturbo 3.0 V6 that is a derivative of the Nettuno V6 of supercar MC20. The double blown six-cylinder stamps 530 hp and 620 Nm via an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. That gives the SUV a 0-100 time of just 3.8 counts and a top speed of 285 km/h. From a standstill, the Grecale Trofeo accelerates to 200 km/h in 13.8 seconds and is therefore fast enough to make its mild-hybrid brothers disappear quickly in the rearview mirror. Maserati is asking €166,087 for the absolute top version of the Grecale range for the time being.
Next year, Maserati will expand the range of the Grecale with an electric version: the Grecale Folgore. It will receive a 105 kWh battery and 800 Nm of electrical power. Extensive specifications – just like prices – are not yet available.
Launch Edition
Maserati also comes with a special introductory version of the Grecale, a version that listens to the name PrimaSerie Launch Edition. This version – which, among other things, is loaded with beautiful leather with special PrimaSerie stitching – will be available for the 300 hp Grecale GT and for the Trofeo. It is not yet known what the Maserati Grecale Trofeo PrimaSerie Launch Edition should cost. We do know that the Grecale GT as a PrimaSerie has a starting price of €121,248.
