Lower air temperatures will also remain in the north-eastern part of the country – in many places in Vidzeme and Latgale – where the sun will mix with clouds, no precipitation is expected. In the north-eastern regions, the air warms up to +23 .. + 27 degrees.
Mostly slow north, northwest winds will blow, places in Kurzeme and Zemgale will remain windless.
In Riga, windless will be replaced by a slow to moderate north wind, therefore the maximum air temperature will be +24 degrees by the sea and +28 degrees in the southern part of the city. The sun will shine until sunset.
The weather is determined by the anticyclone center. Atmospheric pressure across the country is about 771 millimeters of mercury at sea level.
Until Monday, August 10, the yellow level heat warning of the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center is valid throughout the country.
