The Ministry of Health and Population, represented by the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, is holding its first scientific conference on addiction treatment entitled “Focus on Recovery” under the auspices of the Minister of Health and Population Dr. Hala Zayed, and chaired by Dr. Menen Abdel Maksoud, Secretary-General of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment.
Dr. Menen Abdel-Maksoud, Secretary-General of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, said in statements to “Al-Bawaba News” that the conference includes holding workshops and various lectures in the field of addiction treatment.
She pointed to the participation of a distinguished group of scientists, professors and doctors specializing in treating addiction locally and internationally, to exchange scientific and professional experiences in addiction treatment and mental health.
Noting that the conference will continue over the next 14 and 15 February, at the Princess Fatima Academy for Vocational Medical Education (formerly the National Training Institute), in Cairo.
