French Tech is gradually going on a diet. After two euphoric years, French start-ups are reviewing their costs downwards . And for some of them, you have to go through the “layoffs” box. Back Market will thus lay off 13% of its workforce, or 93 employees, as revealed by media outlet Sifted .
“The announcement was made to employees in mid-November”, we confirm internally. The slimming treatment takes place in two phases. Already 26 employees who worked for the unicorn in the New York, Barcelona and Berlin offices have been fired.
