In the summer, active discussions on social networks were caused by the rapid increase in the price of chips in Latvian stores, with the price even exceeding the 5 euro mark in some places. Since then, the chips have gotten cheaper, but European manufacturers warn that prices in the region could rise significantly again.
In Latvia, a drop in the prices of local chips is expected in the near future, but the final price will depend on the retail stores.
