French fashion designer Thierry Mugler has died

The death of the famous world fashion figure Thierry Mugler was reported by the AFP agency and by referring to his spokesman.

The designer’s spokesman, Jean-Baptiste Rougeot, said Mugler died a natural death, but unexpectedly. “He worked on various projects and was planning to announce a new collaboration earlier this week,” he said.

Thierry Mugler was born in 1948 in Strasbourg. At the age of twenty, he came to Paris, where in 1973 he presented his first women’s collection, Café de Paris, and subsequently founded a company bearing his name.

Mugler is famous for his futuristic models with striking cuts, which were characterized by huge shoulders and a wasp waist. He liked to use unusual materials such as metal, vinyl or latex.

Among his most famous admirers were the singers Madonna and Beyoncé, for whom he created a collection for their tour.

In 2003, Mugler left the world of fashion, but continued to focus on cosmetics.
