Freiburg: September 26, 2021: Free travel for children in the entire RVF area on World Children’s Day Sunday – World Children’s Day Festival in the Seepark in Freiburg

On September 26th, 2021, all children can use the bus and train in the Regio-Verkehrsverbund Freiburg (RVF) free of charge.

International Children’s Day is celebrated every year on September 20th. After a one-year break, this year will be celebrated again on the following Sunday with a big World Children’s Day festival in the Freiburg Seepark. On this occasion, children up to and including 14 years of age will travel free of charge in the entire RVF area on September 26, 2021. The RVF area includes the city of Freiburg and the districts of Emmendingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald. For example, if you come from Breisach or Löffingen, Herbolzheim or Müllheim, you can use public transport to get to this event or other destinations in the RVF free of charge.

“We are happy to support World Children’s Day and want to give as many children as possible the opportunity to come to their event in the Seepark Freiburg car-free,” says Dorothee Koch, managing director of the RVF outside Freiburg, ”explains Koch.

World Children’s Day takes place under the motto “Children’s Rights Now!” In the Seepark Freiburg. The official welcome and opening will take place at 2 p.m. on the Seeparkbühne. Afterwards there are various performances for children. Numerous Freiburg associations offer an open hands-on program on the site. The Freiburger Verkehrs AG (VAG) is also represented with a stand. There are balloons for the children and a game action. The VAG mascot “BaBu” is of course also part of the party. The event ends at 6 p.m.

The 3-G rule applies to the event (with the exception of small and school children); the event will not take place in very rainy weather.
