On the occasion of Europe Day this Saturday, the Greens and the Green Youth Freiburg are sending out a signal for more solidarity in Europe and are calling for this from the Federal Government.

Together we show the flag and symbolically uphold European solidarity in the form of the European stars. In times of the corona crisis, every infection must be avoided, so it goes without saying that we keep our distance in solidarity and wear mouthguards! It is unfortunately not possible to keep a distance in the camps on the Mediterranean islands – an evacuation is urgently needed here and a European asylum policy in the long term!
Even in the great financial challenge that awaits us in Europe, not every Member State can remain on its own! That is why we are calling for a common European financial and economic policy. Germany must not continue to refuse one-off corona bonds to help the southern European countries, which are in dire need of no fault of their own.
