The Nibelungenlied is one of the most gripping subjects of the Middle Ages. The IC Walhalla takes the audience to the court in Worms. There the world seems to be in order: the wine cellar is full, the king’s daughter the most beautiful far and wide, the government trio relaxed and his adviser clever until one day a blonde knight enters the castle courtyard and turns everything upside down: Has Gunther hired Alcohol problem? Is Gernot still comforting? Was Brunhild doped? Is Giselher gay and Hagen in love with Kriemhild? In the end, everyone is dead, except for a fat cat named Wagner.
The streaming project #inFreiburgzuhause goes into the fourth round with the guest performance by Bea von Malchus. The Nibelungen has twice been awarded the Theater Prize of the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Heidelberg PUCK.
On Thursday, June 15th, you can watch the play live from 8:00 p.m. in the front building at www.infreiburgzuhause.de. The voluntary purchase of a virtual ticket serves to support the costs incurred.
