After the cultural promotion portal #InFreiburgzuhause last Wednesday with a sing-along concert by Cécile Verny from the Jazzhaus with a profit of approx. 2900 euros through the sale of virtual tickets and approx. 2600 measured streams on the internet (approximate number, because on the one hand new loads and on the other hand several spectators per household must be considered) had a successful start, the second broadcast date is due on Pentecost weekend: On Pentecost Sunday, May 31, the String Quartet of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra will play works by Purcell, Mozart, Bach and Beethoven. The concert will be broadcast from the Ensemblehaus and starts at 7 p.m. Virtual tickets can be purchased on the #InFreiburgzuhause landing page, online at www.infreiburgzuhause.de.

On Thursday, June 4th, contrary to the first announcement in the press release of May 22nd, it will not follow stone rain, but the World Latin Reggae band El Flecha Negra live from the cultural aggregate at 8:30 p.m. Further dates are in preparation and will be published on the landing page shortly.

About the #InFreiburgzuhause project:
#InFreiburgzuhause would like to bring as many cultural events from different sectors live from Freiburg’s cultural and play venues into the living rooms, balconies or screens of the Freiburg citizens via a landing page with an embedded Vimeo channel. The main sponsor is Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau, other sponsors are currently FWTM and SC Freiburg. The virtual events are broadcast directly from the stages of the participating Freiburg cultural centers and venues. An exchange about what is seen and heard with other viewers or even with the artists themselves is possible on the embedded Vimeo channel using the chat function. By purchasing virtual tickets, viewers support organizers and artists on the one hand, and on the other hand an independent money cycle is to be set in motion that enables further events. This should help to keep Freiburg’s diverse cultural scene alive and secure it for the time after the crisis. Some of the proceeds from ticket sales go to the venues and cultural workers, and the other part goes to further virtual cultural events. The audience therefore has a say in how long events can take place in this way. The virtual cultural event will continue to be made available as a recording on the landing page at least 48 hours later.

Interested cultural centers and venues with professional standards can now also apply to the organizers of #InFreiburgzuhause with their event concepts. Further information on the project and application is available on the #InFreiburgzuhause landing page, online at www.infreiburgzuhause.de.
