“When the lockdowns and quarantine measures came into effect at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided Drawful 2 to give away on many major digital platforms. To date, over 10 million copies have been downloaded, ”said Mike Bilder, CEO of Jackbox Games. “By localizing, Jackbox Games hope that more people around the world will be able to enjoy Drawful 2 will come.”
In Drawful 2 each player receives a strange and unique instruction that they have to implement graphically on their mobile device. Erasing is not allowed! After each “artist” has presented his work, the others anonymously submit a title that could match this bizarre drawing. To win, players have to find the original instruction and at the same time entice their fellow campaigners to choose their self-created wrong answer. Bonus points are awarded for those who submit particularly clever – or silly – solutions.
In addition, players have the option of creating their own episode of Drawful 2 with user-generated prompts. Will the translated instructions actually help the players to put the whole thing into a meaningful drawing? Well … we definitely can’t do more.
In addition to localization, the Drawful 2 International-Update include the following features:
Players will be able to turn on subtitles for host audio output.
Moderators can join the game by going to mod.jackbox.tv and entering the room code. This way you can see all the instructions and drawings before they appear on the screen and remove them from the game if you wish. Especially useful for streamers or content creators!
