Free: unlimited calls in the 2 € flat rate until June 11, the data envelope drops to 50 MB

While the news is deconfinement, Free launched a new operation to support some of its subscribers during the health crisis. Until June 11, the operator’s € 2 package will include unlimited calls.

After gaining two hours of additional calls and seeing its data envelope go from 50 MB to 1 GB, the 2 € plan for Free (0 € for Freebox subscribers) has just experienced a new development during this coronavirus crisis. Since May 12, the rate includes unlimited calls, in France, but also “to mobiles from the United States, Canada, China and the French overseas departments as well as landlines from 100 international destinations”. As usual, there is nothing to do to enjoy it. Please note, however, calls will not be unlimited until June 11. As of June 12, 2020, the plan should return to normal, i.e. 2 hours of telephony included.

At the same time, the data envelope inflated to 1 GB has indeed been removed, so that subscribers can no longer consume more than 50 MB before ending up outside the package. For Free plan subscribers (€ 19.99 / € 15.99), however, the recent benefits have been extended. They always benefit from “4 times more 4G data in Europe” and also benefit from a less reduced speed beyond the planned 100 GB (1 Mb / s). The 50 GB and 60 GB special series are also affected by this floor speed of 1 Mb / s. In both cases, these conditions will be valid at least until June 11.
