For two days straight the technology company will perform the Microsoft Training Tech Days with massive and free training in technological tools to reinforce the knowledge of Colombians in this matter.
According to the tech giant, The digital transformation has brought the need to have workers prepared to carry out the tasks of Industry 4.0 and In Colombia, there has been evidence of a talent shortage of people with these skills.

According to data from the talent ranking carried out by the Center for World Competitiveness, IMD, Colombia appears in position number 58, almost one of the last countries in the list and it is very far from nations like Denmark or Switzerland.
In addition, according to the National System of Higher Education, SNIES, out of every 10 university students in the country, only three study engineering and of them only one has skills and abilities in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics and other knowledge that are being demanded by companies.
On the other hand, according to the executive president of Fedesoft, Ximena Duque, “The IT industry has a talent gap of 30,000 vacancies and the rate of engagement in the sector is 89.8% with a down payment salary of $ 2,000,000.”
Faced with this panorama, the general manager of Microsoft Colombia, Jaime Galvis, assured that they are “Committed to helping the Colombian workforce to strengthen its skills and prepare it to take advantage of the development opportunities offered by the fourth industrial revolution ”.

According to the company, the first day of this event will be directed for professionals in the IT industry and in this segment the courses will have a higher level of complexity.
On the second day, entrepreneurs and higher education students interested in initiating or reinforcing their technological knowledgeeven if they have a different area of expertise than science, math, or engineering.
Both days will have international experts to open the technology landscape for developers and attendees will be able to participate in different tests to measure their knowledges and the best scores can take the certification exam for free.
