Fred van Leer is going to be the Dutch version of the American program RuPaul’s Drag Race present. The program can be seen weekly on Friday at Videoland from 18 September, RTL reports Friday.
The news is announced in a video in which RuPaul invites Van Leer personally to take care of the presentation of the show.
“I still can’t believe me Drag Race Holland may present with the blessing of RuPaul. What a dream, “says Van Leer.
“This program is all I believe in and stand for. It’s all about charisma, uniqueness, guts and talent and I’m already really looking forward to seeing all the fantastic creations from the queens at the runway, the lip sync battles and all the challenges we’ve come up with for them. “
RuPaul’s Drag Race has been on television since 2009. After a Thai version Drag Race Holland the second non-English version.
In 2009, American singer, writer and drag queen RuPaul started the program. It wasn’t called back then Drag Race; the idea was to ‘America’s next top dragqueen‘ to find. The series sparked a resurgence in show travesty. RuPaul’s Drag Race has won several Emmy Awards.
