Frank Dane back at Radio 538 after an abrupt end of the show | Stars

entertainment">Just after Christmas last year, Frank Dane was unexpectedly surprised with the news that his morning show, which he took over from Edwin Evers in 2019, had to stop. He had to make way for Wietze de Jager and Klaas van der Eerden. He then called it a ‘bolt from the blue’, but said he was still in talks with Talpa about his future at Radio 538, where he says his heart was. “When I started radio 22 years ago, 538 was my first great love and today I can confirm, old love does not rust. From the end of August I will be home again and this time with a great afternoon show. I can’t wait,” he says now. Dane can be heard on Radio 538 for the first time since 2000 and has presented several shows there.

entertainment">In May it was announced that the daily The Coen and Sander Show moves to Friday. They also indicated that the decision hurt them. Nevertheless, the changes in the programming of Radio 538 would not come out of the blue after disappointing listening figures. Swijnenberg will also make a lunch program for 538. Lantinga has an afternoon program on Radio Veronica from Monday to Thursday.

entertainment">538 broadcaster Coco Hermans has confidence in the new programming. “With Wietze & Klaas, Coen and Frank in the daily programming and Coen and Sander as the start of your weekend, we bring our listeners a very strong program that I am already looking forward to!”
