France cuts fuel prices by 15 cents | Abroad

The French government expects it to save the treasury slightly more than 2 billion euros. Castex called on the oil companies and gas station operators to also contribute, 5 cents for example, now that the price for petrol and diesel has risen alarmingly. On average in France now more than 2 euros per liter has to be paid.

The head of government also discussed the war in Ukraine and the refugee flow that has started. “It’s hard to say for sure, but 100,000 is possible. We have to make sure that we can provide that shelter. So far we have found housing for 30,000 people, half of which has been provided by private individuals.”
