France: Algerian doctors fly to the aid of a hospital

Faced with the demand for care which continues to increase during this summer season, the emergency services for adults at the Timone hospital are obliged to provide this care for 250 people every day, and this, with half the staff.

Indeed, the situation begins to worsen even more with the beginning of August. Insofar as, the majority of caregivers go on vacation during this period. It should be noted that this hospital usually provides adult emergency services with nine doctors. Today, this is no longer the case, because it is only two general practitioners and an orthopedist who take care of all the traumas of the service.

Timone Hospital in Marseille: Algerian doctors come to the rescue

To prevent the situation from getting even worse, the Timone Hospital in Marseille has called on some foreign skills. In fact, four doctors Algerians but also Tunisians have decided to lend a hand to this hospital in crisis.

Specialists in orthopedic surgery, these doctors were recruited to expand the emergency services of the Timone hospital. You should know that 30% of the care of the emergency services of this structure are granted for patients suffering from head trauma or broken limbs.

With the arrival of these North African doctors, the Timone hospital in Marseille is granted significant reinforcement. Especially with the closure of the hospitalization unit, for the same reasons, in particular the lack of practitioners.
