FPI Attorney: The Condition of the Laskar’s Body is Heartbreaking, Bullets Go Back: National Okezone

JAKARTA – Commission III DPR RI held a meeting with family representatives of 6 members of the Islamic Defenders Front Laskar (REIT), who died in a shooting incident by police at the Jakarta-Cikampek Kilometer 50 toll road, Thursday (10/12/2020). The family was accompanied by their legal team.

One member of the legal team, Aziz Yanuar, explained the condition of the bodies. According to him, when the bodies were examined, they were already in a very sad condition.

Aziz explained that there were various injuries that made no sense. In fact, he said that one of the bodies had peeled off his skin.

“There are also those that peel off like being dragged or peeled off like that, what is clear is that the condition is very sad,” said Aziz in the meeting room, Thursday (10/12/2020).

Furthermore, Aziz said that one of the eyes of the corpse was pierced by a bullet. Several bodies, continued Aziz, when they were bathed, they found bullet holes.

“I saw for myself that the left eye looked like a bullet had been shot backwards. Then when it was bathed, almost all of the body and the body had marks of a bullet hole. There is also one on the back of the head, the ear is translucent,” he said.

In addition, said Aziz, one of the bodies was also found burn marks as if they had been tortured. Aziz claims to have photographs that can be used as reinforcement of the narrative.

“There was a burn scar like tortured on the back of his body. We have prepared the documentation,” he said.

He asserted that the family had never allowed the police to perform an autopsy and bathe six bodies. According to him, the autopsy and bathing of the body was a unilateral action.

“Then one, ask the leadership, please note that the family never allowed an autopsy. We have a clear statement and we also allow it not to be bathed. However, the police do it unilaterally,” he said.

Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives Desmond Mahesa responded to Aziz’s explanation as the chairman of the meeting. Desmond requested that photo evidence and other documentation be submitted.

“That will be photos, video evidence to support it, bro,” Desmond told Aziz.
