The Dutch police arrested a fourteen-year-old boy from Riemst on Saturday on suspicion of a stabbing incident on the Weert in Maastricht. The facts took place on Wednesday. The underage Belgian is also suspected of assault and robbery in early May.

A boy was injured in the stabbing incident. An investigation now showed that the boy from Riemst is also suspected of involvement in abuse and robbery in the Frontenpark in Maastricht on Sunday evening 3 May. The victim who was kicked, beaten and spat at was then robbed of his mobile phone, wallet and jacket.
The fourteen-year-old boy is in custody and has been insured for further investigation. He will be brought before the examining magistrate on Tuesday. Given the suspect’s age, the police are unable to provide more information.
