Four river beaches were overcrowded in the district of Braga

With the high temperature, several citizens decided to seek the interior of the Braga district for a cooler environment, resulting in the overcrowding of the largest river beaches.

According to information collected by O MINHO from the application that monitors the capacity of beaches in the country, four river beaches had to block the entry of more bathers during the afternoon of this Saturday.

Verim, in Póvoa de Lanhoso, Queimadela, in Fafe, Adaúfe, in Braga and Prado, in Vila Verde, were the beaches that registered a high number of bathers, even leading to the intervention of the authorities on the beaches of Prado and Adaúfe.

In Prado, the GNR again placed railings to prevent more bathers from accessing the grass on the banks of the Cávado River. In Adaúfe, the Municipal Police was called not only due to overcrowding, but also due to the agglomerations generated due to alcohol consumption, which is also prohibited outside commercial premises.
