– As far as I have understood, the district has not managed to get in touch with all the participants you know about, he says.
– It can be difficult to find out who was present, and thus get an overview of all possible close contacts. In addition, it is difficult to define who are close contacts and not, since it is not easy to know how long people stayed at the site, he adds.
The district chief in Vestre Aker follows up the situation, and works with infection tracking. They also collaborate with other districts as some of the participants live elsewhere in the city.
– This is a type of situation I think we will see more of in the future, says Hagen.
– Irresponsible
District director in Vestre Aker, Elisabeth Vennevold, believes it is unjustifiable if there have been more participants at the parties than the infection control rules allow.
At private events, only up to 20 people are allowed, with a distance of at least one meter, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
– We get repeated requests from the authorities every single day to follow the infection control advice, so I think it is directly irresponsible, she says.
Vennevold adds that the total number of close contacts from the parties can be higher during the evening and tomorrow.
Vestre Aker with the fewest cases
In total, there have been 3014 confirmed infections in Oslo, according to the latest figures from the Health Service in the municipality.
District Vestre Aker is among the districts with the fewest cases, with 167 confirmed infected. This means that the district has had 3.33 infected per 1000 inhabitants, the second lowest of all districts.
Only Nordre Aker has had fewer cases per 1,000 inhabitants.
Most infected have been in the more populous and densely populated districts on the eastern edge. Stovner has had by far the most cases per 1000 inhabitants, with 7.44, followed by Alna (6.81) and Grorud (5.67).
