Forward Rodrigo Apple returns to “Orebro” hockey club – Hockey

Latvian hockey team striker Rodrigo Ābols returns to “Orebro” hockey club in the Swedish Premier League, the club reports on its website.

The hockey player spent the previous season in North America, mostly playing for the American Hockey League (AHL) club Springbirds’ Thunderbirds, but in some games he also represented the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) unit Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

“Welcome back,” the Swedish unit’s website said. “It has become clear today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club, the Florida Panthers, will be renting an apple to the Orebro hockey team.”

The hockey player has already played in the team for two consecutive seasons from 2017 to 2019. In total, there are 27 (18 + 9) performance points in the league at the expense of the attacker in 71 games.

The hockey player of the lion’s court scored last season in Sweden, when he scored 26 (18 + 8) points in 45 games. The club also highlights 18 goals scored in the season by playing as a center striker.

It is said that before last season, Apple signed a two-year contract with the Panthers, but he has not yet reached the NHL.

Last season, he scored 23 (7 + 16) points in 36 AHL games and 4 (3 + 1) points in four ECHL matches.

As the NHL season is long overdue, the Orebro Hockey Team has agreed with the Florida Club to rent Apple.

“Rodrigo will join the team on Monday and start the season with Orebro, with the Premier League matches starting on September 19,” the club reports.

“We are very happy to have been able to bring Rodrigo home. We have known each other before, and we have had a good dialogue since he left,” Olasro sports manager Nicholas Johansson says on the club’s website. “With his game at the center post, Apple will be an important part of the team for us, and we hope to start working with him again sooner.”

The NHL plans to start the 2020/2021 season in November or December for now. The apple has been lent to a Swedish club at least until mid-November, reports “Orebro”.

Last season, the Orebro Club ranked eighth in a 14-unit competition.
